Helping clients build the right product at PMF Studio

Company Information

PMF Studio is a product strategy, discovery, and growth consulting firm that works with Seed to Series B companies, helping them get to product-market fit. Oz Nazilli, the founder of PMF Studio, has over 14 years of experience as a Product Leader and has worked across B2B, B2C, Web and Mobile. After TWG, the last consultancy where he was the VP of Product & Growth was acquired by Deloitte Digital, he decided to focus more specifically on helping companies with product portfolio strategy, and started PMF Studio.

 

The Why

Oz’s goal is to help clients build the “right” product. His primary goal with getting feedback is to validate whether there is a real need for a solution, and if not - to find what that real need is. In addition to that, it’s to assess who has an urgent and high-impact problem such that they need this solution and will pay for it.

 

User Research at PMF Studio

While each project varies in duration and product maturity, Oz typically gets user feedback over a period of 4 weeks per project. The aim is to reach 8-10 participants - and see if enough of a pattern can be established and synthesized into key action items. To find these participants, Oz typically has developed user personas along with the criteria that describes them. The interviews were on average about 45 minutes to an hour long, and involved discovery questions to understand the participants’ background and the problems they face, and also to get feedback on the potential solutions. The interviews are recorded and later summarized by way of recommendations to his clients.

 

The Result

Oz was able to leverage Lightster to find the target audience for several of his client projects quickly and efficiently, and with quality that meets their requirements. Oz has been able to find audiences in both B2B and B2C use cases.
